Elim is Sauvignon Blanc country when it comes to white wine varieties and, it would seem, Syrah when it comes to reds. Strandveld, however, have some Grenache planted, which historically went into a blend called The Navigator but winemaker Conrad Vlok is increasingly inclined to release a single-variety bottling.
